On Thursday, Boeing released its first report on airplane orders received -- and canceled -- in 2014. Covering the first two weeks of this New Year, it shows Boeing off to a respectable start with two separate buyers placing orders for 10 of its single-aisle 737 airliners.
With no cancellations yet recorded, the aerospace giant's tally for the New Year, therefore, stands at simply 10 gross -- and also 10 net -- new orders for its 737... and nothing more.
Local customer Alaska Airlines accounted for two of Boeing's 737s, while foreign buyer Air Algerie placed an order four times as large, for eight 737s.
