T-Mobile has been putting the heat on rivals, including prepaid carrier Leap WirelessAT&T is preparing to close its planned acquisition of Leap within a matter of weeks, even though it has been bleeding customers in part due to T-Mobile's aggression in prepaid markets. The deal comes at just the right time for Leap investors, and AT&T could actually make it work since it will enjoy key strategic gains in spectrum and prepaid branding.
