American Eagle Outfitters Makes It 37 in a Row

Teen retailer American Eagle Outfitters  announced today its third-quarter dividend of $0.125 per share, the same rate it paid last quarter after raising the payout nearly 14% from $0.11 per share. The retailer accelerated the first quarter dividend payment into 2012.

The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on October 16 to holders of record at the close of business on October 2. The payment marks American Eagle's 37th consecutive payout to investors. The regular dividend payment equates to a $0.50-per-share annual dividend, yielding 3.5% based on the closing price today of American Eagle Outfitters' stock.
